Resumen:
In a New Jersey swamp across the river from New York City, three men are hunting for a terrorizing creature reported to be in the area. They run into Igaunus, who easily overwhelms the humans and frightens them away.
The next day, at an abandoned gas station in New Jersey, Optimus Prime and HiQ greets the Micromaster Race Car Patrol, who arrive from Cybertron via the trans-time dimensional portal. Optimus shows them clips from a show called "New York Talks," one about the hunters' encounter in the swamp, the other about a mysterious storm gathering over Manhattan. Optimus suspects the two events are Decepticon related, but before he can order the Race Car Patrol to investigate, they're already off.
At the Decepticons' newly-built New Jersey base, Scorponok sends Igaunus out on a mission. In the swamps above, Celia Santiago (the hostess of "New York Talks") is investigating the area when she runs into Igaunus. But then the Autobot Micromasters arrive, and find the Decepticons' storm-maker installation. A brief fight breaks out, and the Autobots destroy the machine and rescue Celia. But it's too late; the storm is too large to dissipate now, and the Decepticon Pretenders leave for Manhattan to continue with their plan.
The Race Car Patrol follows them to midtown Manhattan, with Celia helping them with directions, toll roads, and other obstacles. The Autobots reach the Empire State Building in time to see Igaunus climbing it; his goal is to plant an electro-stater on top, to focus the storm's electrical energy into a massive lightning bolt. Celia climbs the observation platform to get some photos, but is tossed away by Igaunus. Roadhandler rescues her, then knocks the electro-stater off the building. Igaunus grabs for it, but is struck by the storm's focused lightning bolt. Bomb-Burst and Bugly (who were sent to retrieve Igaunus) conclude he's dead, and quickly retreat.
As the excitement dies down, Optimus Prime arrives in his tractor-trailer mode, and offers to help the Micromasters escape. But the Race Car Patrol turns him down, as they've decided to remain in New York City.
